We are happy to announce that Mayan
Medical Aid is able to provide
scholarships to 100 students and
residents starting June 9, 2009.
The scholarships are matching grants for
students and residents who have had
financial need and are currently enrolled in a medical program.
The match is 40/60: students and residents pay 40% of
the book cost, and the scholarship provides the other 60%.
Books:
• Medical Spanish: A Survival Tool, the premier Medical
Spanish resource, which consists of what we all know that we
need to know. It comes to students and residents in both print
and electronic versions:
• Audio (1.5 hours)
• Verb Conjugator (800+ verbs)
• Workbooks (Tests and Answers)
• Complete Dictionary (English to Spanish and back)
• History
• Physical Examination / Evaluation
• Diagnosis
• Essential Vocabulary
• Self-Testing Modules
Rules:
• The scholarships are granted on a first-come, first-served
basis.
• Payment of the student / resident portion of the fees confirms
the granting of the scholarship.
Eligibility:
• Medical Students: 1st-, 2nd-, 3rd-, or 4th-year
• Residents: any specialty; any year
• Dental Students: 1st-, 2nd-, 3rd-, or 4th-year
• Nursing Students: any year
• Other Health Care Students: any year
• Pre-Medical Students: 1st-, 2nd-, 3rd-, or 4th-year
